Left him her number and came home, not really thinking much about it.

Boyfriend came back with her but only for a short while, asking her if she can come back to Singapore because he's supposed to take care of parents and sister. She doesn't understand why she can't take care of her parents, but maybe it's all because her parents don't wanna leave Vietnam.

She agreed to stay for just another 2 months and then she'll be back in Singapore. She went to meet her auntie and uncle, they both remember her boyfriend and kept asking why we haven't gotten married. She was just saying it's not the time, but it's because he never proposed to her. Maybe he's not ready?

Dad fell sick, that's why she came back. Her dad has been a sporty person, rarely falls sick. Mom would be praying for him. She's sad and lonely, but she still takes care of her dad. Maybe because of his work.

Her mom stresses her about marriage and children, have one before dad passes away. Stressed, she went drinking alone. Drinking til mid bottle she got a text "You'll look great in pink tonight, if it wasn't for that black dress i would have thought u're hot". He texted her, but she didn't know who it is. She called and he picked up, warm voice greeting her, already behind her.

They sat and chat, opening up about their families and all. He told her why he was dating so many ppl, it's because he can't forget his first love. The girl went to Singapore and married a guy there leaving him after cheating on him. He's afraid of getting hurt again, but never admits it. She told him about her bf and things going on at home, she's tired but nobody understands.

She wanted to take cab home but he insisted to bring her home. Made a pass at her, but surprisingly she didn't fight back. They stayed for an hour in the car, she told him how she got a crush on him and all, they made out some more before she finally has to go.

They met more often then, having coffee and lunch, cos he works late at night, sometimes meet at a bar. He would bring her around to the latest pubs and all. They fell in love. Kept texting all kinds of fantasy back and forth to each other.

And then her dad passed away, suddenly, with a heart attack. Her bf came back attending the funeral. But Sam didn't know so he was not there. Her bf comforted her. Next day her bf had to go, sth to do with the sis.

She didn't answer phone calls and texts from him. She didn't want to cheat on her "gonna-b-fiance". Brought her mom to temples and all. He came to her house looking for her, but she told him we can't be.

End of 2 months, she was going back to Singapore. He asked her friend about the flight and came stopping her. She hesitated, but she knows she loves him. Maybe she loves her bf too?

"If you go now, you'll never know how we would be like, together."

And he kissed her, long and hard, tongue on tongue. She bursted out crying under the pressure, of her father's death and of this impossible love. He hugged her and let her choose. She decided to stay, for just one more week, convincing her bf that her mom needed care.

They decided to not sleep together, he respected her decision and gave her space. She will bring mom to temple for prayers, and they meet outside for food or drinks, sometimes just to hold hands and talk.

One night after too much drinking, they came home not very sober. He suggested her to check out his place, cos he knows how she likes big houses with modern furniture. His house is very nice. He hugged her from behind in the bedroom and kissed the back of her neck, her sweet spot. Their kisses deepen and soon she was on the bed with him. They were rushing everything, they couldn't wait. Pulled all shirts and pants off, they were naked kissing each other. But then, he stopped and asked her if she was ok with it. She couldn't think, just kissed him, and they fell down on soft pillows just before he penetrates her. She suddenly got a wake up call and quickly apologized and left.

She rushed back to Singapore, just to find her bf cheating on her with the secretary (find out more from Don Draper). She threw all kinds of things at him, calling him SOB and stuff. She came home crying, but she can't leave until everything is settled. Good thing she got no jobs.

So she packed up within 3 days and left. Her bf came looking everyday saying sorry but she locks him out and changed the padlock. She came home crying to her mom. Her mom said yeah he's not for you, he was never interested in taking care of your parents.

Sam came to her house the minute he heard she was back. She saw him waiting at the gate, but she's too embarassed about what happened. her mom told her to go, someone was bad to you, but this guy seems sincere. Go to him.

She came down, not able to say much, but he was already putting his arms around her, hugging her and feel her warmth in the winter weather. She breathed in his familiar smell, woody cedar cologne so fresh and manly.

She never knew that after she left, Sam came to see her mom, asking her mom to help him because he loves her so much. Her mom tried to call her but there was no apparent reason for her to come home. So when she found out about the cheating, she helped to put in more words to get her move back here. She herself told Sam the date that she's coming back.
